30 January 2012 |

I posted a couple of highlights from 2011 the other day and it wasn’t until after it went live and I re-read it that it struck me just what i have achieved throughout the last year.  I have great people/friends in my life who have believed in me, stuck by me, pushed me, and i thank them. I have set myself a couple of goals this year which i think are achievable. Personal I’d like to lose between 8 – 12kg. Take more life pictures. Snowboard more. Learn how to surf. Take up Tae kwon do. Pursue a senior developer type role to take on bigger challenge...

Bristol Super Quarterly Workshop Nov 2011

02 December 2011 |

Last weekend I attended my first super quarterly in Bristol. The decision was a spontaneous one but being the release of Body Combat 50 it just had to be done. Bristol is a lovely city. It would however appear that  the sign posts don't know what way they're pointing or if it's the right direction. I got lost going and leaving even with sat nav. Having arrived a little shy of the opening ceremony I didn't have alot of time to get changed and meet up with everyone. 1st programme of the day was Body Attack 75. I'm not a fan of the...

My Journey from Body Combat participant to instructor

20 July 2011 |

This post has been sat in my drafts folder for about 5 months. I’ve not been teaching very long but I now think it's the right time to talk about my journey going from a participant to an Instructor. Hard to believe I started this over a year ago. I done my module in Aug 2010, received my official pass in Dec 2010, and started to teach proper in March 2011. Last June I wrote about “What’s Occurring” , taking the 1st step into what I can only describe now as a life changing experience.  For anyone thinking about going...

ViPR Training - the who, the what….

17 May 2011 |

So I’ve discovered something new and it goes by the name of ViPR. This weekend saw me out at Broadwood for a day of training to use ViPR in my personal workout or teach it within a group. I booked this course after visiting YouTube and seeing a couple of interesting videos in relation to what you can actually do with it. You watch the videos, look at the hand grips and think, yeah ok what makes this different? What can this bit of kit do for me, do for others? Well with the different weights varying from 4kg to 20kg (at...
